Artivate Tech ("we", "us", or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("user" or "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application, GateNav (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy. This policy applies to all information collected through our App, as well as any related services, sales, marketing, or events. Please read this privacy policy carefully as it will help you make informed decisions about sharing your personal information with us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, or otherwise when you contact us.

2.1 Personal Data Provided by You

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App. The personal information we collect may include the following:

• Account Registration Data: When you create an account via Firebase Authentication (including Google Sign-In), we collect your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a unique user ID.
• User-Generated Content: Any data you manually enter into the App, including but not limited to study notes, progress tracking inputs, saved preferences, bookmarks, and customized study plans. This data is securely stored using Google Cloud Firestore.
• Communications: Information you provide when you contact our support team.

2.2 Data Automatically Collected

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as:

• Log and Usage Data: Service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our App, which we record in log files via Firebase Analytics.
• Device Data: Information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the App, such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, operating system, and system configuration information.
• Crash Reports: In the event of an app crash, we collect error tracking data (via Firebase Crashlytics) which includes the state of the app at the time of the crash, stack traces, and device identifiers to help us diagnose and fix bugs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations.

We use the information we collect or receive to:

• Facilitate Account Creation and Logon Process: If you choose to link your account with us to a third-party account (such as your Google account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and logon process for the performance of the contract.
• Provide and Deliver Services: To operate the App, deliver educational content for GATE XL preparation, and ensure core functionalities like progress tracking operate correctly.
• Improve the App: To analyze usage trends, track the effectiveness of our educational modules, and improve the user interface and overall experience.
• Respond to User Inquiries: To respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the use of our services.
• Send Administrative Information: We may use your personal information to send you product, service, and new feature information, and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.

4. Will Your Information Be Shared with Anyone?

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. These include:

• Google Cloud & Firebase: For hosting, database (Firestore), authentication, and analytics. You can read their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Play Billing: For processing any in-app purchases or subscriptions safely and securely.

4.2 Legal Obligations

We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

5. Data Security and Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security). Data at rest is encrypted by our cloud provider (Google Cloud).

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). When you delete your account, your personal data and user-generated content are permanently purged from our active databases.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 Account Information and Deletion

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

• Log in to your account settings within the GateNav app and select the "Delete Account" option. This action will immediately and irreversibly delete your user profile and all associated data from our servers.
• Contact us at gatenav.app@gmail.com with a request to delete your account.

6.2 GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Depending on your geographical location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correct inaccuracies, or request erasure of your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.

7. Policy Regarding Children

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the App. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.

8. Updates to This Notice

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
